Biocarpet Technology

Biocarpet is a flexible, conformable, bioresorbable scaffold designed for the treatment of peripheral vascular disease. Biocarpet offers a partial, direct barrier to pathological cell migration, minimizes disruption to blood flow through patient-specific conformability, and supports biomechanical homeostasis in the arterial wall by allowing low-pressure deployment with minimal arterial overstretch. Additionally, as it gradually resorbs, it reduces the chronic inflammatory response. Collectively, these features can substantially contribute to the reduction of restenosis.
